A New Look for The Galway Girl Series

One of the biggest challenges I've faced as an author has never been writing the stories—it's designing the covers.

If you've followed my journey for a while, you'll know that I regularly change my mind when it comes to cover designs. Finding an image that captures the heart of a story while also standing out on a crowded bookshelf is never easy. Every time I think I've found the perfect cover, I end up seeing something I'd like to improve.

With the upcoming release of London Calling, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to take a fresh look at the entire series.

The result is a brand-new set of covers for The Galway Girl trilogy, including an updated cover for The Galway Girl itself. My goal was to create a consistent visual style that links all three books together and makes them instantly recognisable as part of the same series.

I wanted the covers to reflect the themes that run throughout the trilogy—love, friendship, second chances, and the connections that shape our lives over time. Rather than having each book look completely different, I've tried to create a unified identity that tells readers these stories belong together.

As always, cover design is subjective. What works for one reader might not work for another, which is why I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Do you prefer the new designs? Do they capture the feel of the stories? Is there a particular cover that stands out to you?

Your feedback has always been incredibly valuable, and many of the decisions I've made over the years have been influenced by comments and suggestions from readers.

Set twenty years after the events of The Galway Girl, the story revisits familiar characters while introducing new challenges, new opportunities, and the question of whether some connections can truly withstand the test of time.
