Hello, I'm Steve McCarthy.

I'm a photographer, author, and storyteller based in the UK, passionate about capturing moments and creating stories that connect with people.

My photography journey began with a love of the outdoors, particularly the dramatic landscapes of Cornwall and the South West. Through my camera, I aim to capture the beauty, atmosphere, and emotion of a place, whether it's a rugged coastline at sunrise, a peaceful countryside scene, or the excitement and passion of live sport. My work has been featured by businesses, sports clubs, and individuals looking for authentic, memorable images.

Alongside photography, I've always been fascinated by storytelling. That passion led me to write contemporary fiction exploring love, friendship, family, and the choices that shape our lives. My novels include The Light Between Us, Tracks in Time, and The Galway Girl trilogy, which follows the lives of characters navigating relationships, dreams, and second chances.

While photography and writing may seem like different creative pursuits, they are connected by a shared goal: telling stories. A photograph captures a moment in time. A novel explores the moments that define a lifetime. Through both, I hope to create work that resonates with people long after they've viewed an image or turned the final page.
