Taken from the dramatic cliffs of Pentire Head near Newquay, this image looks west towards Goose Rock as the setting sun breaks through the cloud on the horizon. Using a long exposure, I was able to smooth the movement of the Atlantic Ocean into a soft, mist-like surface, creating a striking contrast with the rugged foreground rocks. The jagged granite formations provide a strong anchor within the composition, drawing the eye towards the golden light reflected across the sea. Patience was key on this evening, waiting for the right balance of cloud, light, and movement to come together and reveal the raw beauty of Cornwall's north coast at sunset.
