Tomorrow's the Day – London Calling Arrives
It's hard to believe I'm writing these words, but tomorrow London Calling officially joins the world.
Book Two in The Galway Girl series has been a story I've lived with for a long time. Like every novel, it started with a simple idea, grew into a collection of characters who refused to leave my head, and eventually became a story I couldn't wait to share.
If you've already read The Galway Girl, you'll know that the first book introduced characters who quickly became more than just names on a page. Their journeys were never meant to end there, and London Calling continues that story in ways I hope will surprise, entertain and, above all, feel real.
One of the things I love most about writing is that stories rarely stay where you first imagine they will. What began as a trilogy has gradually become something much bigger in my mind. Rather than thinking of these books as a fixed three-part story, I've started referring to them as The Galway Girl series. There are still more stories to tell, familiar faces to revisit, and perhaps even a few unexpected directions to explore in the future.
And the journey is far from over.
Book Three is already well underway, and if everything goes to plan I'm hoping to have it in your hands later this year—just in time for Christmas. I'm looking forward to sharing more about that in the coming months, but for now my focus is on celebrating the release of London Calling.
Writing this book has been a journey in itself. There were chapters that flowed effortlessly, others that fought me every step of the way, and countless cups of tea consumed while trying to work out what my characters were going to do next. Through it all, one thing remained constant: I wanted to write a story that readers would genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Tomorrow, that story finally belongs to you.
Whether you've been following my writing since The Light Between Us, Tracks in Time, or you've only recently discovered The Galway Girl, I want to say thank you. Every reader, review, recommendation and message of encouragement means more than you probably realise. Writing can often be a solitary process, but publishing reminds me that stories only truly come alive when they're shared.
So, if you've pre-ordered London Calling, thank you. I hope you enjoy spending time with these characters as much as I enjoyed bringing them back to life.
And if you're new to the series, there's never been a better time to start. Begin with The Galway Girl, then join me tomorrow as the journey continues with London Calling.
Here's to the next chapter—and the many more stories still to come.
